8. EARTH STOOD STILL: conveyance

I don't know how EARTH STOOD STILL didn't get huge and takeover the world. I bet if they did a reunion, people would come, though.  People would sing.  People would clap. People would smile.  Some may even cry. I'd be among those people.  This record holds a special place in my heart. I even traveled with them to sign the contract that got them distribution on the streaming sites they are still on today.  It came out at a time full of excitement, friendship and maybe a little delusion, on my part, not theirs.  Though, you gotta be a little delusional if you pop this on and can't appreciate the beautiful songwriting with catchy hooks and relatable lyrics.  They had something unique and worth listening to and our small scene in north jersey got it.  You'd think they were playing a stadium when they went into the chorus of "We Tried to Warn You" at the local hall show.  We all sang proudly in their corner, we wanted to see this band grow and explode, but instead, it just ended one day.  Now, we look back fondly on those songs, those times, those people.  If they came back, it wouldn't feel like a nostalgia act, though.  They could pick up right from where they left off and many of us would return to sing along, clap and smile.  Don't take my word for it though, hear it for yourself HERE Please do.  I don't want to have to say "...but you didn't listen" when someone in the future discovers them and there's an entire documentary made to continue their legacy.
