Whoever said, "oh no, they let the drummer sing" is full of shit and probably hates themselves. I'm thrilled to hear Greg Furlong sing and he's damn good at it. Did I mention he's playing guitar, bass, and yes, drums on this too? He writes better hooks than people that have been at this shit for years. Maybe he has been at it for years, but just recently started sharing his solo works with the world and the world is better because of it. If you know Greg, you know he brings a spirit of positivity to any room he's in and well, his music perfectly captures that personality... complete with "pump your fist" choruses and solo calls-outs to remind us not to take ourselves too seriously...to let go, to have fun. I love the added percussion in the tune. It's got a WEEZER vibe out of the gate but as soon as Greg's vocals enter you can tell you're in for a different ride with Greg in driver's seat, full speed ahead, because he's "getting older and there's no time to start over."
